Aromatic birth and bubba support

Updated: Apr 26, 2024

Before I was an aromatherapist, I was privileged to be a midwife supporting women to birth their way. It was a very special job and one I loved.

Some of the tools of the trade were hot washes to the area of discomfort, low lights, massage, as much support as necessary, you get the idea.

I did love to bring my own essentials oils to the birth. Very effective.

This leads me to what I have been doing lately.

I have an essential oil kit containing several essential oils that I have made for various women for labour and beyond. It was been quite popular and the feedback has been wonderful.

I have created a sample list of some of the essential oils in this kit below. I won't give to many trade secrets away though.

Black Pepper essential oil used specifically for those surges or contractions to help ease those expansive pains. Copaiba works well with this essential oil when blended together.

Copaiba is just a go to for everything. It has so many uses and is invaluable in the kit. It can be used for mum and bub alike.

Lavender is one of my top pick and one I find it very relaxing for labour, particularly in between those surges or contractions.

But after bubba is here, it comes into its own and serves the purpose of sleep for you and bubba.

Apply lavender, just one tiny drop into a bowl of carrier oil to massage bubbas feet and to use as a baby massage.

( baby massages after a float bath was my favourite way to settle a restless bubba).

Add a few drops to your diffuser with a balancing essential oil and you have a powerhouse combination.

Sweet Orange is such a burst of freshness in the birthing room. It also has the effect of settling a bubba to sleep as well. Its very multi functional, as are many of these essential oils.

I could go on but I need to leave some secrets.

There are several blends that I make up as well. All labelled clearly and ready for use.

The kit is given with clear instructions and would suit a client that loved aromatics and is choosing to lower the toxic load now bubba has arrived.

Drop me a message if you are interested.
